បរមាឃ

Noun ancient royal ceremony which took place during the third month of the lunar calendar ( មាឃ ). During this ceremony a pile of ashes was burned by Brahman priests and the ashes were sprinkled by dignitaries from the various provinces. It was believed that the provinces in the direction of which the ashes fell would have good harvests.

(ន.) ឈ្មោះព្រះរាជពិធីមួយយ៉ាងពីក្នុងបុរាណរាជ្យ, ធ្វើក្នុងខែមាឃ, មានពិធីហែស្ដេចមាឃ, បរសេះ, បរគោ, បរក្របី ប្រណាំង ហើយបរក្របីបញ្ជល់រាង, រួចធ្វើភ្នំស្រូវមួយឲ្យពួកបារគូទាំង៤ក្រុម នាំគ្នាដុតភ្នំស្រូវនោះ, ក្នុងវេលាភ្លើងកំពុងតែឆេះ, មន្ត្រីទីស្ដេចត្រាញ់ខែត្រក្រៅ៥នាក់ កាវរំលំភ្នំស្រូវនោះ, បើភ្នំស្រូវនោះរលំទៅទិសណា សន្មតថាពួកប្រជាជនក្នុងទិសនោះ នឹងធ្វើស្រូវបានផលច្រើន : ព្រះរាជពិធីបរមាឃ ឬ ពិធីបរមាឃ ។
